Laramie Jensen is a postdoctoral scholar at the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington. She received her PhD from Texas A&M University in 2020, where she completed her dissertation on dissolved and colloidal trace metal cycling in the Western Arctic Ocean as part of the GEOTRACES GN01 cruise.

Laramie served as a "supertech" on the GEOTRACES GP15 cruise in 2018 and has led trace metal sampling on multiple cruises in the Bering and Chukchi seas. In her current position, she continues to study trace metals in the Arctic and how they are influenced by changing hydrography in the Pacific-Arctic and Labrador Sea.

She participated in the inaugural GEOTRACES summer school in 2017 and is currently the co-chair of the GEOTRACES Early Career Scientists committee.
